Liz Doyle Pilates
I am an experienced health care professional, who has suffered from persistent low back pain that was so debilitating I was unable to complete everyday activities. My Mum recommended Pilates to me and within a very short time, my range of movement had improved and I was pain free. Actually my range of movements, flexibility and my core strength had vastly improved.
If only I had found Pilates before starting my job in healthcare!
I could not wait to tell everybody about Pilates and its benefits.
And the best way to do this was to train to teach Pilates which I did.
After an intensive period of instruction, supervised teaching and examinations, I qualified in 2009. It was tough physically and mentally, but qualifying was a gratifying achievement. No time to rest on my laurels, I continued to train regularly to attain annual Continual Professional Development Points(CPD) in order to remain registered with Body Control Pilates and increase my knowledge and skills in Pilates.
Courses completed since 2009:
- Intermediate Matwork Pilates
- Pilates with small equipment/Bands, Over balls, Triadballs, Toning circles and foam rollers
- Pilates for the older person
- Pilates for clients with scoliosis
- Pilates for Bone Health
- Pilates for golfers
- Reformed and chair
